WHY YOU SHOULD JUICE!
All the “experts” in the Healthy Eating business tells we should get 5 – 7 servings of vegetables and fruit each day. I don’t know about you, but getting 5 – 7 servings a day just does not happen in my life. And, I try to be aware of eating healthy. Those same “experts” tell us that only 1 in 10 Americans actually get that much fresh vegetables and fruit into their bodies on a regular basis.
OK, if we want to be aware of what we eat AND we want to try to be healthy, how do we get that many servings each day? The best answer is “JUICING”. It is the best way to get the vitamins and nutrients into our bodies that I know of. Juicing will provide your body with plenty of micronutrients and do it in a way that is enjoyable!
And, by getting more nutrients in each serving of juice, you actually can get the best of what nature is giving us in a much smaller quantity that eating 5 – 7 servings of vegetables and fruit. (Have you ever tried to down 5 – 7 servings of raw fruit and veggies?)
SHOULD YOU JUICE ONLY??
There are many folks who would disagree with me on this, but I believe you should use juicing as an additional health benefit to eating. I think juicing can have enormous benefits when you serve nutritious juice WITH your meals. Or, having your juice daily at another time other than your normal meal time.
Now, there are exceptions to this – like when you are ‘cleansing’ your system and are using JUST juice to accomplish it. As long as it is not for an extended period of time!
But there are real benefits to juicing and you should do it! Start giving yourself and your family a big chance to get the additional fruits and veggies you are not getting now.
